ABOUT OUR Bûche de Noël

 

The Bûche de Noël — or, Christmas Log — is said to date back to around 1870, when a Parisian pastry maker was inspired by the Christmas eve ritual of burning a log in the fire (a tradition that can in turn be traced back to the winter solstice rituals of ancient Celts). With fireplaces becoming smaller, the practice was dying out … and so the Christmas log moved from the hearth to the table, in the form of a rolled sponge cake decorated in lashings of chocolate and dustings of sugar to appear as a snowflake-shimmered log.

 

Ours is  organic and elegantly sweetened (so you can go for round two). Soft cacao sponges with velvety chocolate ganache and organic cherries, wrapped in a log. 

 

Whole Bûche de Noël that would feed 12 or 1/2 Bûche de Noël - 6 generous slices.

    We will personally deliver your desserts (over the period of three days - subject to delivery schedule) with the last delivery date being 23rd Dec. We deliver to Eastern Suburbs, North Sydney, Inner City & Northern Beaches or we invite you to collect your desserts in Waterloo NSW.     If you are collecting from our address, please bring a cool bag and ice packs to keep the dessert stable during the transport
